Practice Experience
- Counseled clients for over 36 years with respect to wills, living trusts, insurance trusts, powers of attorney and general estate planning needs
- Represented personal representatives and trustees in all manner of probate and trust administrations, and both plaintiffs and defendants in probate and trust litigation
- Represented clients in real estate litigation including quiet title actions, of which two were class actions, commercial landlord tenant litigation, commercial and residential foreclosures as lender counsel, and boundary and survey disputes
- Represented loyalty program client in all aspects of loyalty program service agreements to benefit debit and credit card programs of banks, telephone companies, airlines, oil companies and others, and with respect to gift card purchase and participation agreements, merchant rewards point programs, employee confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements and merchandise and gift card agreements
- Represented a cross section of business clients with respect to shareholder agreements, buy-sell agreements, corporate litigation, fiduciary obligations, commercial leases, and sales and acquisitions

Background
Sid Werner practices in the areas of estate planning and probate, real estate litigation and commercial transactions and is a partner of the firm. Over a legal career that has spanned more than 36 years, he has enjoyed assisting a great number of people in formulating their estate plans, from simple wills to more complex documentation, and has handled the administration of trust and probate estates on behalf of many families and friends of clients and others who passed away. In addition, he has provided lender representation for commercial and residential foreclosures, litigated commercial landlord-tenant matters, participated in boundary and survey dispute litigation, handled class action quiet title suits, negotiated and drafted a wide variety of commercial contracts, served as a securities arbitrator, represented clients in securities broker malfeasance actions, and provided representation in corporate negotiations and litigation.
Mr. Werner is a past Campaign Chairman of the Pinellas County Jewish Federation, past president of both Congregations B’nai Israel of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Congregation Beth Chai of Seminole, Florida, and past president of the Seminole Center of the Y.M.C.A. He is a current member of the National Dance Council of America and competes regularly in ballroom competitions, both with his wife, Phyllis, as an amateur couple, and in the pro-am division. Sid and Phyllis have three adult children, Gerald, Aaron and Bruce, two wonderful daughters-in-law, Lucy and Sara, and a growing number of grandchildren.
